Friends of LCFS is a special community of donors who give $100 or more each month to support the programs they care about most. These gifts create a deeper partnership with LCFS that includes special updates, fun swag, and even personal tours of our facilities.
Gordon, creator of Friends of LCFS, hopes to see the community grow. “As a Friend of LCFS, I appreciate the sense of connectedness...Friends of LCFS is for people with a heartfelt commitment to the community.”
Gordon served as the Development Associate at Lutheran Child and Family Services and was a pastor for many years before that. When he launched Friends of LCFS, his goal was simple: create a community of donors who give at least $100 every month, and who share a passion for our mission. For Gordon, Friends of LCFS is deeply personal. “It’s a way for me to be a regular supporter of LCFS, and to do what I can to share what God has shared with me.” Now retired, Gordon appreciates that being a Friend of LCFS allows him to continue to be a quiet supporter of everything LCFS does.
In the current uncertain times, knowing we can count on our donors every month is incredibly powerful. We’re not always sure where the funding for our essential programs will come from. Knowing what gifts we’ll receive through the year allows us to plan for the future, so we can continue—and expand—our programming.
Becoming a Friend of LCFS is easy! Simply set up a monthly donation for $100 through our website HERE, or feel free to give us a call; we’re happy to set it up for you, whether it’s online through a card or bank account (?), or by check.
More than just a tote bag. Becoming a Friend of LCFS does come with perks; and yes, that includes a one-year anniversary tote bag! But that’s not all. This year we’re excited to connect with our Friends of LCFS by offering behind-the-scenes tours of our facility and special updates from the programs that are the most impacted by your gifts.

His vision of Friends of LCFS is for anyone to give consistently and steadily, ensuring reliable support for critical services and programs.
