Tenant Relations Specialist - Pando

Primary Functions:

1) Oversee Pando mentoring programs:

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and ongoing support to encourage active participation of tenants in the mentoring program while upholding the Housing First model and philosophy.
  • Assist tenants in navigating and completing mentoring referral form.
  • Act as a liaison between partner program staff and Pando tenants, fostering effective communication and facilitating the provision of services.
  • Ensure all outcome reporting is completed in a timely manner in accordance with funding source requirements.

2) Lead Pando Tenant Council:

  • Oversee implementation and operations of the advisory council.
  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly council meetings, ensuring agendas are set, facilitating discussions, and promoting productive outcomes.
  • Record accurate meeting minutes and disseminate council-identified action items to the leadership team for review and implementation.
  • Follow up on solutions to action items with appropriate team members and report outcomes during monthly team meetings.

3) Coordinate monthly community enrichment/social capital building activities:

  • Schedule and organize diverse on-site enrichment programs tailored for Pando tenants to enhance community engagement. Formulate effective strategies to engage and connect with Pando tenants, promoting active participation in enrichment activities while upholding the Housing First model and philosophy.
  • Collaborate with external shared interest groups to curate and deliver informative on-site workshops covering various subjects, including but not limited to: i. Nutrition ii. Budgeting/ Financial Literacy iii. Health and Wellness (Testing) iv. Education/Employment Opportunities

4) Program Documentation

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of the internal metric tracker, reflecting comprehensive details of service provision, milestones, and participant progress.

5) Assist Pando Housing Specialist with HUD Files compliance:

  • Collaborate with the Housing Specialist to ensure compliance with HUD regulations and requirements concerning participant files and documentation.

6) Learn and implement the policies and best practices of the Pando program (e.g. housing first, harm reduction strategies, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, etc.)

Contribute to Special Projects and Other Assigned Duties.

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrate professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
  • English language skills for both verbal and written communications in a business setting
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when completing paperwork/reporting client service data

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • HS Diploma or equivalency required
  • Lived homelessness, addiction, or mental health experienced preferred
  • Documentation of eligibility to work in the United States required (I-9 form documents) required
  • Preference for history of personal involvement in the child welfare/foster care system
  • Preference for candidates that have completed Peer Support Specialist Training
  • Preference for candidates with credential as a Certified Recovery Specialist; candidates without this credential must be actively pursing certification through a program approved by CSH
  • Valid Indiana Driver’s License and clean driving record required to operate LCFS vehicles
  • Must pass background check and adhere to all LCFS Employee Policies and Procedures, including requirement to maintain a drug-free workplace

Working Environment:

  • Able to work hours needed to accomplish assigned tasks, to include evenings, weekends, & holidays
  • Regular on-site workday will be 12pm – 8pm, Tuesday – Friday 9:30pm-5:30pm Saturday
  • Position requires on-site presence at the Pando facility
