Family Success Coach - LCFS INSPIRE Program

Position Summary

The Family Success Coach will be responsible for ensuring LCFS is able to effectively serve families in the INSPIRE program using the 2Gen Model.  The role includes: developing and implementing strategies to engage clients; obtaining client consent for services, completing client intakes and service planning; coordinating services with community collaborative partners, assisting with workshops and/or training opportunities to promote client engagement and success; maintaining good working relationships with collaborative partner individuals and organizations; connecting clients to community resources; and ensuring client metrics are tracked in accordance with UWCI and other funder expectations.

Primary Functions:

1)       Assist with client recruitment activities at the Sharing Place and through community partners/events to identify potential INSPIRE program participants

2)     Meet with potential clients to obtain consent for program participation; complete intakes for clients who have completed the consent process

3)     Prepare a service plan for each client enrolled in INSPIRE services; this may be in collaboration with other program partners, including but not limited to Goodwill and Indianapolis Legal Aid Society

4)    Support INSPIRE clients with opportunities for adjunct services that promote 2 Gen outcomes:

  • Assist with on-site (and/or virtual) Nutrition classes to promote healthy cooking and enhanced knowledge of nutrition and healthy food choices
  • Assist with on-site (and/or virtual) resources/workshops periodically (possible topics may include but are not limited to: Health Insurance enrollment, Finance/Budgeting workshops, Legal Aid, etc.)
  • Ensure all client outcome reporting is completed in a timely manner in accordance with funding source requirements

5)      Monitor and services provided by collaborative partners and ensure all participants receive services for both youth and their adult caregivers; maintain a client log to track status of clients

6)       Attend meetings with community organizations to enhance program operations, including but not limited to:

  • INSPIRE program collaborative partner meeting
  • Meetings with potential new resource partners as needed

7)       Collaborate with LCFS Volunteer Coordination staff to develop volunteer base that can promote client engagement and 2Gen outcomes for the INSPIRE program

8)        Work with Client Engagement and Community Programs Interns on INSPIRE program activities as directed by the Client Engagement and Community Programs Manager

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrate professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • English language skills for both verbal and written communications in a business setting
  • Preference for candidates that are bilingual (Spanish) and fluent with verbal and written communication in Spanish
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when completing paperwork/reporting client service data

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • HS Diploma or equivalency required
  • Documentation of eligibility to work in the United States required (I-9 form documents) required
  • Valid Indiana Driver’s License
  • Clean driving record required to operate LCFS vehicles
  • Must pass background check and adhere to all LCFS Employee Policies and Procedures, including requirement to maintain a drug-free workplace

Working Environment:         

  • Able to work hours needed to accomplish assigned tasks, to include evenings, weekends, & holidays
  • Position requires on-site presence at community partner locations, including but not limited to the LCFS Sharing Place Food Pantry in Lawrence Township and the Lawrence Township Trustee’s Office
