Client Engagement and Community Programs Coordinator  Details

Primary Functions:

  • Implement collaborative components of the LCFS community programs, including but not limited to Pando, INSPIRE and Elder Care Programming:
    • Establish relationships and processes for receiving INSPIRE program referrals from MSD-LT
    • Provide connections/referral to health and/or mental health resources available through LCFS’ relationship with CHNw and Jane Pauley Center for INSPIRE clients
    • Build relationships with collaborative service partners and establish referral and outcome reporting systems and protocols, including but not limited to Indianapolis Legal Aid Society, CAFE, and Goodwill Create and encourage connections to community resources and opportunities that promote increased social capital for the family and its individual members
  • Support INSPIRE clients with opportunities for adjunct services that promote 2 Gen outcomes:
    • Devise strategies for initial engagement and connection with clients served at the Sharing Place through the INSPIRE program
    • Devise strategies for initial engagement and connection with clients referred by MSD-LT to the INSPIRE program
    • Offer on-site opportunities to enroll in SNAP at the Sharing Place
    • Coordinate and implement on-site (and/or virtual) Nutrition classes to promote healthy cooking and enhanced knowledge of nutrition and healthy food choices
    • Coordinate and implement on-site (and/or virtual) resources/workshops periodically (possible topics may include but are not limited to: Health Insurance enrollment, Finance/Budgeting workshops, Legal Aid, etc.)
    • Ensure all client outcome reporting is completed in a timely manner in accordance with funding source requirements
  • Support Pando clients with opportunities for services that promote independent living skills and outcomes in alignment with 2 Gen services:
    • Devise strategies for initial engagement and connection with Pando tenants
    • Offer on-site opportunities to enroll in SNAP at the Pando facility
    • Coordinate and implement on-site (and/or virtual) Nutrition classes to promote healthy cooking and enhanced knowledge of nutrition and healthy food choices for Pando tenants
    • Coordinate and implement on-site (and/or virtual) resources/workshops periodically for Pando tenants (possible topics may include but are not limited to: Health Insurance enrollment, Finance/Budgeting workshops, Legal Aid, etc.)
    • Assist with coordinating tenant council meetings and other community activities for tenants
    • Ensure all client outcome reporting is completed in a timely manner in accordance with funding source requirements
  • Collaborate with LCFS Volunteer Coordination staff to develop volunteer base that can promote client engagement and 2 Gen outcomes for all community programs, including but not limited to Pando, INSPIRE, and elder care:
    • Develop volunteer role descriptions
    • Assist with volunteer recruitment 
    • Create and implement training program for volunteers
    • Schedule and coordinate volunteer activities
  • Operate the Pando food pantry program:
    • Ensure adequate staffing for Pando Pantry operations
    • Adhere to the budget parameters established for the Pando pantry
    •  Re-stock pantry with donated and/or purchased items
    • Seek assistance from Development and/or Sharing Place staff for securing additional monetary and in-kind donations to support pantry operations
    • Complete required data/outcome reporting for UWCI and other funders
  • Assist with program development and implementation for Elder Care services, including but not limited to
    • Workshops for caregivers
    • Securing resource materials
    • Evaluating and implementing new programming opportunities
    • Ensure all client outcome reporting is completed in a timely manner in accordance with funding source requirements
  • Attend meetings with community organizations to enhance program operations, including but not limited to:
    • UWCI Family Opportunity Fund Peer Learning Monthly meetings
    • CHIP Youth and Young Adult Work group bi-weekly meetings
    • Meetings with Collaborative Partners as needed

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the back-up personnel for Sharing Place and assist with other Foundation programs, such as Christmas Store, Thanksgiving, etc.
  • Provide administrative support for LCFS Management as directed

Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent organization & communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Understanding of databases
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Must be a self starter

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Valid Indiana Driver’s License

Working Environment:  Able to work hours needed to accomplish assigned tasks, to include evenings, weekends, & holidays
