The Sharing Place serves individuals and families of all ages in Marion County who need emergency food assistance or fall below the poverty line and meet the income guidelines set by TEFAP.
Clients are able to receive food once a month, must present proof of residency every visit, and must reside in one of the following zip codes:
An additional service provide at The Sharing Place is clothing for children newborn - 18 years of age.
One time a month, you may receive up to 2 outfits per child in your household. An outfit consists of a top and a bottom or a dress. (Subject to change based on availability of sizes)
One time per year you may receive the following for each child:
- 1 Coat
- 1 pr Shoes
- 3 pr Socks
- 3 pr Underwear
The Sharing Place Food Pantry:
The Sharing Place is a material assistance program providing free food & clothing to families in need. Located in Lawrence Township, on the far East-side of Indianapolis, the Sharing Place is staffed by volunteers recruited from the community and local congregations.
Proof of Residency within the zip codes listed on the left is required at each visit. A piece of mail dated within the last 30 days meets this requirement.
