Admissions/Referral Procedures
Admission Criteria

Boys and girls admitted to Lutherwood may be as young as 6 or as old as 21, with IQs of 65 or higher. Those with IQs of under 65 are considered on an individual basis.

Referral sources includes but are not limited to:

• Division of Family & Children

• Probation Departments
  

• DAWN Project
  

• Department of Corrections
  

• Department of Education

• Private referrals (hospitals, parents)

Referral information should include:

• Reason for referral

• Recent psychological evaluation and medical/immunization records and history

• Social and medical history

• Educational testing scores
  

• Permanency plan

• Sources of funding
